The pandemic has offered gasoline to online conspiracy theories and disinformation. One of the main figures spreading them was the previous sports activities broadcaster David Icke. His look in an interview livestreamed on YouTube prompted the Google-owned service to ban all conspiracy videos falsely linking Covid-19 to 5G networks.
