GWM Relaunches in Italy with New Vehicles

GWM, a Chinese automaker, is relaunching in Italy with a range of new vehicles, including SUVs, pickup trucks, and luxury cars. The company, which was previously known for its practical pickup trucks, has expanded rapidly since the early 2000s and is now listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Francesco Cremonesi, head of marketing and communication for GWM in Italy, states that the company is committed to providing high-quality vehicles with a focus on safety, technology, and design. Cremonesi notes that GWM’s new strategy is “just the beginning,” with at least four or five new vehicles to be launched by the end of the year.
GWM’s New Vehicle Lineup
GWM has already presented several new vehicles, including the Ora 5, a compact electric and hybrid car, and the GWM H7, a sport utility vehicle with a robust design and hybrid plug-in technology. The H7 is described as a “family car” that is practical for work and leisure, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 5 seconds.
The company is also launching the Tank 300, a rugged off-road vehicle with a design inspired by the iconic Jeep Wrangler.
In addition to these models, GWM is also introducing the Wey G9, a luxury monovolume with a unique front design and a spacious interior with seven seats.

GWM is also relaunching its pickup truck range, including the GWM 500, which is designed for professional use and features a modular design with a range of engine and transmission options.
Commitment to Customer Service

Ma soprattutto introducono due nuovi marchi: al generalista GWM si aggiungono i premium Wey (omaggio al cognome del fondatore) orientato al trasporto urbano di lusso, e Tank con fuoristrada dalle raise prestazioni, dalle diverse declinazioni».
The company has also invested in training programs for its mechanics, with courses completed before the start of sales. The service centers will be equipped with a bumper-to-bumper kit to quickly repair vehicles in the event of minor accidents.
With its new lineup of vehicles and commitment to customer service, GWM is poised to make a significant impact in the Italian market. The company’s focus on safety, technology, and design is expected to appeal to a wide range of customers, from families to professionals.
The GWM H7 will be available in Italy from October 2026, with prices starting at 37,000 euros. The Tank 300 will be available from November, with prices starting at 46,500 euros.

According to Cremonesi, GWM’s modular production system allows the company to produce a wide range of vehicles from a single platform, with different engines, transmissions, and drivetrain options.
The GWM H7, for example, can be equipped with a range of engines, including a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, with a choice of front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
GWM’s vehicle lineup includes the Jolion Max, a model that offers a combination of style and technology. The GWM P500 pickup truck is another example of a vehicle designed for professional activities, with a high capacity for cargo and towing.
GWM’s Strategy for the Italian Market
The price of the Tank 300 will be 46,500 euros for the version with a turbodiesel engine and 51,400 euros for the plug-in hybrid version.
