Audemars Piguet unveils Royal Oak jewelry collection

Audemars Piguet has redefined its iconic Royal Oak design as a high-end jewelry collection, merging its recognizable octagonal bezel and integrated bracelet with precious metals, diamonds, and colored gemstones under the new Royal Oak Joaillerie line. Introduced this year, the collection retains the brand’s distinctive style while adding new layers, color, luminosity, and tactile surfaces, as defining features.
The line draws inspiration from the Vallée de Joux region in Switzerland, where the watchmaker has been based since 1875. Two standout designs, the Risoud Eclipse and Dream of Joux, serve as the collection’s centerpieces, alongside the Frosted Gold series. This matte-finished gold treatment mimics crushed diamonds and was originally developed in 2016 in collaboration with designer Carolina Bucci. It first appeared in Audemars Piguet’s 40th-anniversary Royal Oak collection for women and now shapes the jewelry line’s visual identity.
The Risoud Eclipse combines a dark titanium frame with emerald-cut emeralds and diamonds, creating a dramatic “astronomical” effect where shadow deepens rather than diffuses light. In contrast, the Dream of Joux incorporates vivid hues: bracelets feature sapphires, topaz, tsavorites, amethyst, and diamonds arranged to evoke wildflowers, blue moons, and frozen surfaces. Both pieces emphasize artistic craftsmanship over mechanical precision, offering fully customizable options.

The Frosted Gold finish delivers a textured, luminous surface across white, yellow, and rose gold bracelets and necklaces. This technique, rooted in an ancient Florentine method, was first introduced for the brand’s 2016 anniversary collection and has since become a signature of its jewelry designs.
This is not the first time the Royal Oak has ventured into jewelry. Since 1976, when designer Jacqueline Dimier adapted the model’s proportions for women, the brand has repeatedly reimagined the design without compromising its core identity. The Royal Oak Joaillerie collection extends this legacy, positioning the Royal Oak not just as a timepiece but as a bold, wearable statement that carries the brand’s free-spirited philosophy into new materials and artistic contexts.
